steam deck vs PC?

what're the pros and cons of each? I like using controllers more so I'm not sure if I'd enjoy the steam deck,can I dock it to my tv like my switch? would I be able to connect my Nintendo pro controller if so? which model should I get if I'm not planning on playing many games. just sims,honesty. unless I see other cool games. help?
