Elgato HD60S, Twitch, PS5 and a 4K monitor: The discovery I just made.
I recently got my first-ever PS5 this past weekend, and in the excitement of setting it up, I discovered a limitation when streaming to Twitch. Because I have to use the Elgato HD60S capture card, which maxes out at 1080p resolution, I'm essentially getting the same graphics quality as my Xbox One. Even though there might be a slight improvement in detail, my PS5 detects that I'm playing in 1080p when connected to the capture card. However, when I bypass the capture card and connect my PS5 directly to my monitor, I can enjoy up to 4K resolution. It's a bit disappointing that despite having a more powerful console, I'm still restricted to 1080p graphics when streaming on Twitch.
