Instead of major competitors attempting to compete with Amazon during Prime Day, some have swooped in to offer big Prime Day-esque sales first. Walmart’s massive deals event kicked off this week alongside Target Circle Week. Plus, Amazon is matching some of the best offers, too. We’ve put together a list of the best PS5 Prime Day deals you can shop right now, and we’ll continue to update this roundup throughout the week and next week during Amazon Prime Day (July 16-17).
If you’re looking to stock up on PS5 games, now’s a pretty great time to do it, as both Target and Amazon are hosting buy two, get one free sales that include recent releases, and, in Target’s case, some upcoming games, too.
But the best early Prime Day PS5 deal is actually at Walmart. For the next few days, PS5 owners can purchase the DualSense Edge controller at a big discount. It’s the first major deal on the high-end, customizable PS5 controller since PlayStation released it earlier this year.

DualSense Edge PS5 Controller

PlayStation released its first pro-style controller earlier this year. The DualSense Edge is a high-end controller that’s great for those who love the DualSense’s core features while also craving more customization options. A premium build is complemented by two different styles of detachable rear triggers, three sets of interchangeable thumbstick caps, and support for input modifications such as analog stick dead zones and trigger pull sensitivity. Custom profiles can be saved to the controller, too. The controller and all of its components can be stored in the included (and quite stylish) hardshell carrying case.
This is the first significant discount on the DualSense Edge at a major retailer. It’s available until Walmart’s sale ends on July 11, but it’s certainly possible it’ll sell out before then. Well, it’s actually tied with the next controller on this list–but this is the one to get if you want to retain all of the DualSense’s features while adding customization.

Victrix Pro BFG Controller

Multiple editions our favorite third-party PS5 pro controller, the Victrix Pro BFG, are on sale right now. The controller features a modular design that lets you swap between aligned and offset stick layouts, switch between three different D-pads, and even replace the normal face buttons and right stick with a six-button microswitch fight pad. It also has four built-in remappable back buttons, adjustable trigger stops, and proprietary software that allows you to create dead zones, recalibrate trigger sensitivity, and more. The Victrix Pro BFG has more customization features than the DualSense Edge, but it doesn’t have adaptive triggers or haptic feedback. It works wirelessly on PS5, PS4, and PC via the included 2.4GHz dongle and wired via USB-C.

The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro is a solid third-party PS5 controller that’s on sale at Amazon ahead of Prime Day. It offers four remappable back buttons, an extra set of shoulder bumpers, multiple trigger sensitivity levels, interchangeable thumbsticks, and an eight-direction micro-switch D-pad. It also sports RGB lighting elements that can be customized with the Razer controller app on iOS, Android, and PC. Both the white and black variants are included as part of this deal.

Samsung 990 Pro and more PS5 SSDs
The PS5 comes with 825GB of usable space, which is just enough space for a handful of AAA games, depending on the games you play. If you play AAA games regularly, it’s a matter of when, not if, your PS5 will tell you that you need to make room. Luckily, you can save on PS5-compatible M.2 SSDs at Amazon and Walmart.
