Can you soft reset ultra wormhole Legendaries? Simply by pressing L + R + SELECT you’ll reset the game to your last save. In Ultra Sun and Moon , Legendary Pokémon aren’t shiny locked so when you are about to encounter them in the Ultra Wormhole (see below) save and soft reset until you get a Shiny Legendary.

How far can you go in ultra wormhole?
The further you go, the higher the chance is that the Pokémon you will get is a Shiny Pokémon and the wormhole also factors in capping at 5,000 Light Years at 36% in the Type 4 Wormholes. The more you get the better, as their appearances are very frontloaded, being very rare as you progress.
Do you need Ultra Beasts for shiny charm?
Getting the Shiny Charm requires that you complete the Alola Pokédex, which is around 400 Pokémon (not the full 800). This does mean that you’re going to have to invest time in getting the Ultra Beasts and Legendaries, as they are part of Alola. Once you’ve done that, go to the Game Freaks building.
