A hard to moderate walk and not for the inexperienced even in good weather. Once on the Kinder Scout plateau there are no way markers or signs. Also the footpaths are not always clearly obvious. Good OS maps or routes are a must as is a compass.

Jacobs Ladder is a tough climb, no summit point when get to Kinderscout, but brilliant views and boulder field is amazing. great walk although the first bit you should miss out very boggy and hard to get across nearly lost my boot in it . The trail was spot on, a great walk. The views the picturesque.
