Is 001 the Mind Flayer? Near the end of Stranger Things Volume 1, Dustin speculated that Vecna is the Mind Flayer’s “five-star general,” but the truth is nowhere near that simple. From the information we got during the Stranger Things 4 finale, we can conclude that Henry Creel is the one calling the shots; in fact, Henry is the Mind Flayer.
Why did Eleven open the gate?
When Eleven touched the Monster, the Gate cracked open in the wall of the tank room. The opening allowed the Monster to travel out of the Upside Down and into their dimension. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Eleven escaped the lab.
Who controls the Upside Down?
Volume 2 brought the revelation that Vecna was actually in charge of the Upside Down and had been since Eleven banished him there in 1979. There was a whole scene where he wandered the realm, saw various monsters and discovered the Mind Flayer.
What is the white floating stuff in Stranger Things?
Spores. Spores filled the atmosphere of the Upside Down, perpetually drifting through the air. After the Mothergate opened at Hawkins Lab, spores began to float in the corridors. The spores were also present in the tunnels.
