Issues playing with a friend

Assassin's Creed Shadows is about to come out soon, which I'm really stoked about and waited for it for a long time. I love playing video games and have played for years.

I have a friend who is familiar with video games mostly through me, and we played several together.

I'm always listening to the story and loving it, but she 's always talking in the middle of the cutscenes or comments on how "dramatic" they are and only wants to have the combat and action, which interrupts my focus on it.

Also she always almost instinctively skips instructions if there are any. The thing that freaks me out the most is that after talking over all important parts, she keeps asking me to tell her what needs to be done now or what happened now in the story, and then forgets it after 5 seconds and wants me to explain to her again. Also she keeps asking me about what is going to happen next and I need to keep reminding her that I'm playing the game for the first time as well and I don't know lmao

I suggested that we can play together a game that is more combat or action focused, without an elaborate story or other RPG/improvement mechanisms so it would be a win win, but for some reason she insists on playing Shadows with me.

After we played AC Origins together and I felt I enjoyed a lot less because of all of it, I told her about those things and she seemed slightly offended but did ultimately understand me and tried to improve.

Then we played Mirage and she was better, but it was still not THAT better.

She seems to be offended if I'm telling her those things too much (albeit nicely and friendly), and I think I'll enjoy a lot more if I play shadows alone.

She's an amazing friend in other regards so I don't wanna hurt her feelings but I feel like I tried everything and it doesn't get better, so it's either tolerating her behaviour and try to keep reminding her of those things, or just tell her that I'm gonna play it alone.

I just don't know how else I could say it without being an asshole
