Original Resident Evil PC Re-Release Spotted, Could Be Out Very Soon
An age rating for Resident Evil on PC has been spotted online, fueling speculation that the original survival-horror game from Capcom will be released on digital storefronts soon. The game has received a rating by Europe’s PEGI organization.
Resident Evil has been available on PC since 1996, as it was released on that platform physically. In the modern era, the game has not yet been available through storefronts like Steam or the Epic Games Store. But as spotted by Gematsu, this looks like it’s about to change.

It’s also not clear which version of Resident Evil has been rated by PEGI for a potential re-release, as there exists the original version and a director’s cut with new weapon types, different item locations, and more collectible outfits. On PlayStation, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut is available through the PlayStation Plus Classics library.
