PS5 VS Xbox Series X/S

Yo this is my first post here and I know this question is probably asked alot but I’m kinda conflicted on which gaming console I should buy. I am mainly a PC gaming however I have a rather weak PC so it can’t handle most high end games that I would like to play.

I had a PS4 in the past and I still have the controller for it however because of some issues I had with it I’m kinda hesitant on buying another Sony console, I was wondering about the pros and cons of both a PS5 and a Xbox series X/S. I mainly play story-based or RPG games so I’m looking for something with decent storage space, I rarely play multiplayer games mainly because I suck ass at them or just get bored of them.

Also, would you guys suggest buying them pre-used/refurbished or brand new
