Why do black people love seafood? It’s our heritage. The ocean and rivers has an abundance of food which, for a long period of time, wasn’t expensive. Shrimp and lobster were known a poor people’s food some years back. Couple that with a nucleus of enslaved Africans existing in port areas, it was only natural.
