Why do people not like Monopoly? Monopoly is so far slanted toward random chance of the scale that player agency is almost non-existent. On the opposite end of the spectrum you might have a game like chess or draughts. There’s no random chance, both players start with the exact same set up of pieces and there’s not a dice roll in sight.
