Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Is A Fantastical Souls-like Action RPG Set During China's Ming Dynasty

Today’s Xbox Games Showcase gave us a new look at Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, an upcoming action game by Chinese developer Leenzee Games coming next year. The game was first announced in 2021 with an 18-minute gameplay video, and this new trailer gives us a better look at protagonist Bai Wuchang, a pirate warrior cursed with demonic blood in her veins.

Bai’s condition is most obviously displayed in her feathered left arm. The game unfolds during China’s Ming Dynasty and is billed as a Souls-like action RPG set in a cursed land. video shows off the game’s impressive-looking action as Bai takes on a variety of supernatural threats.

A synopsis states the game offers “a challenging combat experience with multiple weapon categories and Ornithropy magic. Explore interconnected environments, encounter historical figures, and make choices that will shape the fate of Shu.” Interestingly, the description states Bai is cursed with Ornithropy, which implies she’s capable of sprouting wings to fly. Given the time period, Bai will also encounter real-life historical figures during her journey.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is coming in 2025 and will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass for Series X/S. It’s also coming to PlayStation 5 and PC.
